This Privacy Policy explains what personal data this website (LedgerLab, bestaiaccounting.com) collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run an editorial comparison site — we do not sell personal data, and there are no user accounts, logins, or payment processing on this site.

2. What we collect and why
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors navigate the site. This includes pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP, which Google truncates), device and browser type, and interaction events such as clicking an affiliate link or starting a newsletter sign-up. We use this only in aggregate to improve our content.
- Newsletter sign-up (optional). If you submit your email address to our newsletter, it is sent to and stored by our email provider, Buttondown, so we can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Server and security logs. Our host, Cloudflare, automatically processes standard request data (such as IP address and user-agent) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not collect names, postal addresses, or payment information, and we do not run on-site comments or user profiles.
3. Legal bases (GDPR Article 6)
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for aggregate analytics, site security, and delivery.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for the optional newsletter, which you opt into by submitting your email.
4. Third-party services we use
Personal data may be processed by the following providers strictly to operate this site:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) — the Space Grotesk and IBM Plex Mono typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address when a page loads. Google Privacy Policy.
- Buttondown — newsletter delivery, only if you subscribe. Buttondown Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure usage. These are not essential to view the site. You can block or delete them through your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Affiliate partners you click through to may set their own cookies on their own websites — see Section 6.
6. Affiliate links
Some outbound links to products are affiliate links, marked with rel="sponsored". If
you click one and make a purchase, the partner may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you, and
the partner’s own site may set cookies to attribute the referral. This does not influence our
editorial verdicts — see our methodology and
editorial guidelines.
7. Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ configured retention period. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare for a limited period for security purposes.
8. International transfers
Our providers (Google, Buttondown, Cloudflare) may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. These transfers rely on the providers’ safeguards, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction or erasure of your data;
- object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw newsletter consent at any time;
- data portability; and
- lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority.

10. Children
This site is intended for business owners and professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
